Yeh Hai Chahatein (This Is My Desired Love) is an Indian Hindi-language romantic action drama thriller television series produced by Ekta Kapoor for Star Plus. It streams on Disney+ Hotstar and is a spin-off of Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. The show premiered on 19 December 2019. It starred Sargun Kaur Luthra and Abrar Qazi as the leads in the first 2 generations of the show. The series currently stars Shagun Sharma and Pravisht Mishra as the leads in the third generation.

1–100 "Glimpse into the lives of Preesha and Rudra, Rajeev's Murder, Marriage of Preesha-Rudra, Beginning of Preesha-Rudra lovestory, Rudra's transformation into a responsible person"

Dr. Preesha Srinivasan is raising her nephew, Saransh, after her elder sister Mahima supposedly dies during childbirth. Her son is a fan of Rudraksh "Rudra" Khurana, a rich rockstar who doesn't believe in love and is detested by Preesha. Preesha's friend Yuvraj, an advocate, pretends to be in love with her to get promotion from Gopal Srinivasan, her father, a retired judge.Preesha expresses her love interest to Yuvraj and he takes Preesha on a romantic date. After finding out that Saransh is Rudra's nephew, Yuvraj blackmails him for money. He later kills Saransh's father, Rajeev, and Preesha takes the blame for him. Rudra vows to take revenge when he finds out the truth of Saransh being Rajeev's son, believing Preesha was the biological mother. Rudra takes Yuvraj's place and marries Preesha to obtain full custody of Saransh. Preesha is proved innocent and agrees to stay in the Khurana house for Saransh. To stop the child care department from taking Saransh, Rudra and Preesha act as a happy couple. In the pretence of faking a romance for the sake of everyone and Saransh, they begin to have real feelings for each other. They bond at their friends wedding despite Yuvraj trying to create differences. Rudra helps get Saransh admission in a good school. Saransh gets kidnapped, Rudra and Preesha get closer in the process of finding him. Rudra takes care of Preesha when she gets injured and helps fight for her when she treats a COVID patient. Rudra is admitted to Saransh's school to continue his education at Preesha's encouragement.

101–200 "The Misunderstanding Between Preesha-Rudra, Rudra Confesses His Love To Preesha"

Preesha starts questioning her feelings as Rudra keeps impressing her. Both become popular after doing an interview together. Rudra sees Preesha slapping Yuvraj and asking him to stay away. Rahul, a music producer, creates a misunderstanding between them, making Rudra believe Preesha still loves Yuvraj. They have a fight and Rudra tells Preesha that she will see the full extent of his hatred. Rudra struggles to keep Preesha away. At his concert, he makes her jealous using Keerti, his co-singer. Keerti is murdered, and Rudra is blamed. Preesha saves Rudra. Rudra finds out Preesha isn't Saransh's biological mother and Rahul confesses that he lied. Rudra apologises to Preesha, confessing his love to her passionately in the rain. They go for their honeymoon, to start their relationship afresh. Their honeymoon is interrupted by the return of evil Mahima, Saransh's mother, who intends to win the custody of Saransh to obtain his trust fund.

201–300 "Return Of Mahima and Rudra's Birth Mother"

Mahima wins the custody. Preesha works with Rudra and Yuvraj to expose her. She pretends to betray Rudra and fakes her marriage with Yuvraj while Rudra pretends to marry Mahima to stop her from leaving with Saransh. Preesha finally confesses her love to Rudra and they share a kiss at Christmas. Mahima finds out about their plan through Yuvraj and continuously destroys the evidence against her. She switches Rudra with a doppelganger, Bhuvan, making Preesha misunderstand that she slept with fake Rudra which causes Preesha to begin hating Rudra. Bhuvan, keeps pursuing Preesha as Rudra. Balraj learns the truth and is murdered by Mahima and Bhuvan. The real Rudra is arrested. Preesha then realises the imposter did not have real Rudra's birthmark. Mahima is arrested. Rudra and Preesha are finally happy, they share a possessive moment. Rudra later finds his birth mother, Sulochana, and his half brother Kabir unaware that the two are after the Khurana's wealth. Preesha learns the truth about them, tries to reveal it to Rudra but keeps failing. Meanwhile Rudra tells Preesha that he wants to have a child with her. Kabir tricks Ahana into helping them obtain the property by marrying him to receive custody of Saransh. Kabir gets Rudra kidnapped with Mahima's help.

301–400 "Rudra-Preesha Move to Goa; Rudra And Preesha get Separated"

Preesha goes undercover and saves Rudra while Mahima flees. The family moves to Goa. Preesha plots to stop Kabir and Ahana's marriage, she instead has Ahana marry Yuvraj but Ahana flees. Rudra becomes upset with Preesha but makes up with her later after saving her from drowning. Mishka and Kabir elope and get married. They obtain custody of Saransh and kidnap him. Mishka threatens to blow up herself and Saransh if the police are involved. Rudra manages the situation but things take a tragic turn when Preesha secretly brings the police. Saransh and Mishka are presumed dead. Rudra blames Preesha for Saransh's death. She blames him for not trusting her against his mother and brother earlier. Rudra and Preesha divorce. Rudra vows to never sing again. Preesha almost falls off a cliff but is saved by Armaan Thakur. Armaan knows her condition and asks her to raise his daughter Anvi.


6 months later


Preesha is living with Armaan and Anvi in Goa. Rudra works as a manager in a hotel in Delhi, where he meets Armaan's sister, Devika who develops a crush on him. Rudra and Preesha finally meet in Goa. Rudra misunderstands that Preesha is married to Armaan and they have a confrontation at a party. Rudra makes Preesha jealous and proposes to Devika. Preesha is affected seeing them, Rudra keeps questioning her if his touch still affects her and to admit she loves him. Goons attack Preesha, Rudra saves her and Armaan catches them in a compromising position. Rudra and Preesha learn that Mishka is still alive with Ahana. While living together to spy on them, Rudra and Preesha remember old times. Ahaana makes up a story that she has adopted a daughter called Krishna and that Saransh is dead. Rudra and Preesha grieve together. Rudra tells Preesha that he still wants them to be together. Armaan and Devika find out about Rudra and Preesha being married. Devika is found dead. Preesha is arrested. At the trial, Preesha is accused of living and having an affair with Rudra, killing Devika out of jealousy.

401–500 "Rudra And Preesha Remarry Each Other, Rudra Becomes A Rockstar Again,Armaan's love for Preesha gradually turns into obsession"

Rudra saves Preesha, has his mother Sulochana sentenced. Rudra asks for Preesha's forgiveness. Armaan takes Preesha to Shimla, spikes her drink to make Rudra misunderstand Preesha but Rudra sets the room on fire and takes Preesha. Drunk Preesha seduces Rudra. Rudra gets critically injured on his birthday. Preesha finally confesses she loves him. Rudraksh orchestrates a fake wedding with Anvi's biological mother and Armaan's wife, Sania to gain information about Saransh. Preesha refuses to believe Rudra moving on. She makes Rudra jealous. Preesha hires a private investigator and discovers Sania's identity. Sania manipulates the situation in a way that Preesha misunderstands Rudra. Preesha asks Armaan to marry her to make Rudra confess. Rudra arrives to stop the wedding telling Preesha that he loves her and that their son is alive. Preesha presents Krishna, who is Saransh disguised as a girl, to Rudra and reveals he is Saaransh showing him his birthmark. Ahaana and Mishka are arrested. Rudra and Preesha's pre-wedding festivities start off much to Armaan's annoyance. Rudra starts getting suspicious towards Armaan. At their sangeet, Rudra sings "will you marry me", their special song for Preesha which helps Saaransh remember some things. Rudra and Preesha get married twice, South Indian and Punjabi style. Saransh gets his memory back. Preesha has a grand grihapravesh at Khurana house. Preesha tells Rudra she wants him to be a Rockstar again. Their lawyers tell them they are legal guardians of Saransh and have managed to get all their property. At the press conference, they tell everyone they are happy to be back as a family which makes Anvi jealous. Anvi gets a car to run over Saransh but Sharda saves him. Mr Ahuja tells Rudra he has to leave for Shimla for his concert tour. Armaan and Sania arrive posing to be fixing their marriage. Armaan tells Mr Ahuja to give him a drink that would damage his voice. Rudra has a panic attack when he loses his voice but Preesha figures it out and gives him the medicine he needs. Rudraksh dedicates a special life song to Preesha and performs brilliantly.


Rudra has a massive argument with Armaan who admits he has been messing with them. He asks Rudra to swap wives for one night which infuriates Rudra. Rudra beats him up in front of everyone and Armaan spikes his drink. Rudra arrives in his room highly upset leaving Preesha confused. They both consummate as she tries to calm him down. Armaan tells Sonia to trap Rudra, she calls him to his room saying Armaan is hurting her. Rudra leaves behind a sleeping Preesha. Armaan and Sania set a trap for Rudra. However Rudra and Preesha end up tricking Armaan and Sania with the help of Mishka and finally get rid of them. Rudra and Preesha try to get Mishka and Param, Rudra's new manager, together. Preesha rejoins her hospital and Rudra helps her out.

501–600 "Return Of Venky, Rudra And Preesha Meet After 5 Years"

Preesha's brother, Venkatesh "Venky" Srinivasan who was missing for ten years, is found. He had attempted suicide due to a false molestation charge and was secretly hidden by GPS. Preesha is happy to have him back but Rudra is suspicious of him. Venky tries to sabotage Param and Mishka's wedding as Mishka was the girl who accused him wrongly. Rudra warns him. Venky challenges Rudra that Preesha would not believe him. Venky causes differences between Rudra and Preesha but ultimately Rudra exposes him. Preesha apologises to Rudra. Venky kidnaps Saaransh, Rudra gets into a fight with him and Venky is shot. Preesha takes the blame to save Rudra and gets arrested. She gets sentenced to death as Rudra is unconscious. Yuvraj helps her escape from jail as she is pregnant and they stage her death to save her child. Rudra is made to believe Preesha is perished in a fire just as he goes to rescue her and sinks into depression.


5 years later


Preesha is raising her and Rudraksh's daughter, Ruhi Khurana, meanwhile Rudra has lived with Preesha's memories and has become a cynical alcoholic. Rudra has to perform at Rohtak where Preesha is hiding with Ruhi. Rudra rescues Ruhi who is a great singer like him and they bond. Preesha, desperate to see Rudra sneaks into his concert where he catches a glimpse of her before she runs away. He escapes to find her and Ruhi rescues him from goons. Ruhi hides Rudra at a cottage behind their house and Rudra asks to meet her mom. Rudra and Preesha both have many hits and misses where they both realise the other is around by their touch. Rudra and Ruhi form a lovely bond as Rudra feels very attached to her. Ruhi ends up wanting Rudra as her father. Bunty finds out Preesha is alive and tells her everything about Rudra trying to find her, she makes him promise not to tell Rudra anything. Yuvraj creates a misunderstanding but Rudra and Preesha end up seeing each other as Rudra rescues Ruhi and himself from a fire and falls into Preesha's arms. Rudra confronts Preesha for hiding from him and she admits she did everything to protect him but he tells her his life is meaningless without her and that he can never let her go. Yuvraj shows up and creates a misunderstanding that Ruhi is his daughter as a result of Preesha cheating on Rudra. Preesha feels pressurised to save Rudra and falls into Yuvraj's manipulation. Rudra becomes furious at Preesha. Ruhi plans to patch up Rudra and Preesha. The three get stuck in a jungle where they spend quality time as a family. Rudra keeps questioning Preesha. Preesha moves to Delhi with Ruhi, working at Khurana school. Rudra spends time with both of them. Rudra and Preesha work together and find out about a scam Bunty orchestrated in need of money. Bunty puts Preesha and Ruhi's life in danger and Rudra rescues them. Saaransh is overwhelmed to find out Preesha is alive. Ruhi needs blood which is the same as Rudra's rare blood group and Preesha finally tells Rudra that Ruhi is their daughter. Rudra saves Ruhi and is furious with Preesha. He asks the police to arrest her as he reveals she is his wife and still alive. Both Saaransh and Ruhi decide to get Preesha out and teach Rudra a lesson.

601–700 "Rudra And Preesha Reunite; Preesha Gets Pregnant"

Preesha's case reopens and Saaransh hires Vaijanti as his lawyer. Rudra is still furious at Preesha but indulges the children who refuse to talk to him. Preesha gets released on bail and they both get stuck overnight at a hotel. Rudra gets chicken pox, Preesha takes care of him against his will. The children bring Preesha back to Khurana house. During her trial the events of Venky's murder is finally revealed and Vaijanti is arrested. Rudra finds out Preesha was only trying to save him. They all happily reunite. Rudra and Preesha wait to reveal to Ruhi about Rudra being her father. Rudra takes Preesha out on a grand date. Dev, a bully at school starts harassing Ruhi and Saaransh. Rudra moves Preesha to their room and they get romantic. At Holi, Ruhi finds out that Rudra is her father and married to Preesha, she makes them promise to never fight again. Yuvraj spikes Preesha's drink. He tries to film a tape with her however Rudra arrives drunk and Yuvraj ends up watching them get intimate. Rudra decides to teach music at Khurana school to spend more time with Preesha and the children. Preesha shows Rudra Ruhi's childhood tapes. Dev keeps harassing the family and his mother, Revati who is also the police commissioner protects him. Yuvraj reveals to Rudra that Preesha knew he was responsible for Rajeev's murder all these years which causes a fight between Rudra and Preesha after which Yuvraj runs away. Rudra sleeps on the sofa but pretends to be normal in front of the family. Saaransh accidentally pushes Dev off a building while protecting Ruhi, which leads to Dev's death. Rudra and Preesha panic and decide to hide Dev's body together to protect their family.


Rudra and Preesha keep having differences while trying to hide Dev's body. Revati suspects them. Sharda finds out and helps them hide the body to protect their family. Preesha keeps trying to fix problems between her and Rudra, they make each other jealous. Rudra tells her he loves her but cannot forgive her but they keep acting happy in front of the children. Revati finds Dev's body and takes the Khurana family under custody for questioning. Rudra gets beaten up and Ruhi confesses everything. Preesha ends up saving Rudra as she finds out Dev was murdered by Revati's husband. Ruhi wants Rudra and Preesha to marry again on their wedding anniversary and they reluctantly agree for the children's happiness. Revati wants to take revenge from them and keeps sabotaging the wedding functions but it keeps bringing Rudra and Preesha closer. Preesha keeps seducing Rudra and tries to get intimate but he admits it's only physical attraction and getting intimate won't fix their problems. Saaransh talks to Rudra who realises that he must forgive Preesha. Rudra dedicates a song and speech for Preesha on their sangeet and gets electrocuted but Preesha saves him via CPR. They make up and get happily married. Preesha finds out about Revati and plans to expose her. Revati challenges Preesha who faints and finds out she's pregnant again. Rudra is ecstatic to find out about having another baby. Revati threatens Preesha that she would take her child. Rudra and Preesha start attending Lamaze classes for Rudra to learn how to take care of a baby. Revati keeps causing problems as Preesha tries to expose her. Armaan returns and lies to Preesha about being terminally sick. Rudra and Preesha fight about Armaan but they forget about it as they feel their baby kick of the first time. Rudra takes care of Preesha throughout the pregnancy as months pass and they are excited to welcome a baby.


Nine months later


At Preesha's baby shower, she plans to lie to Revati about the baby dying. Preesha goes into labour and Rudra stays in the room with her. However Revati and Armaan come up with a plan by poisoning Rudra and Preesha that leads to their newborn son being kidnapped. Rudra and Preesha have a fight about losing their baby which they immediately regret. Before Rudra finds Preesha, Armaan drugs and kidnaps her leaving a letter for Rudra.


1 year later


Rudra is devastated and keeps searching for Preesha. Ruhi takes care of a depressed Rudra while Saaransh is angry at him as he overhead the fight between Rudra and Preesha where Rudra in a moment of anger questioned why Preesha would sacrifice their real son for Saaransh. It is revealed that in Mumbai, Armaan has drugged Preesha making her lose her memory and hypnotised her to believe that Rudra forcefully married her and their marriage was abusive, he tried to kill her. Preesha gets violent fits every time she hears Rudra's name. She does not allow anyone to touch her. Rudra and Preesha subconsciously miss each other.

701–800 "Preesha's Memory Loss and Return of her memory"

Preesha goes to Delhi for Pihu's admission in the same college as Raj and Vidyut, Rudra's cousins. Rudra and Preesha keep having hits and misses. Rudra gets his private investigator to investigate Armaan for Preesha's disappearance. Ruhi and Saaransh both find Preesha and are upset when she doesn't recognise them. They start investigating and Rudra gets suspicious. Rudra and Preesha keep meeting at night at a tea stall but don't see each other. The children find out about Preesha who feels a connection with Ruhi. Armaan lies to them and says Rudra is responsible for Preesha's memory loss and she would die if she meets Rudra. Ruhi does not believe Armaan and plans to unite her parents. Rudra and Preesha finally meet at the police station and Rudra is shocked to see Preesha's violent behaviour towards him and thrashes Armaan. Ruhi tells Rudra that Preesha doesn't hate him but has lost her memory. Rudra promises the children that he will bring his wife back home. Rudra follows Preesha to Shimla. Armaan drugs both Rudra and Preesha getting them to share a bed and blames Rudra. Rudra secretly orchestrates a medial checkup for Preesha and finds out from her brain scan that drugs have affected her brain. Rudra suspects Armaan and with the help of the children disguises as a old gardener and moves in with Preesha. Rudra and the children recreate old memories to help Preesha remember. Preesha let's Rudra help her with her wardrobe malfunction and does not react violently towards him even when he's in close proximity.


Rudra manages to swap the medicines and gets Armaan arrested briefly. Pihu finds out the truth about Rudra and Preesha, decides to help unite them. Pihu gets Preesha to attend a party at Khurana house where Rudra sings Will you marry me for Preesha which helps her recollect some memories. Rudra and Preesha passionately dance and Rudra takes Preesha outside where they share an intimate moment and confess their love to each other before Preesha passes out. Preesha gets really bothered after that encounter and lashes out at Rudra. Rudra with the family and Pihu's help makes Preesha believe he has moved on and is marrying Vanshika which makes Preesha jealous. Preesha saves Rudra's life and Rudra realises Preesha's old personality is returning. At one of the ceremonies, Rudra and Preesha get locked up in the bathroom and both end up taking a shower together where Rudra seduces Preesha and almost has her before Armaan walks in on them. Later Rudra reminds Preesha that only he knows about her belly piercing. Rudra and Preesha end up saving each other from a fire. On the wedding day, Rudra recreates his jail wedding with Preesha which helps brings back her memories. Rudra and Preesha get into an accident on their way to the hospital and Preesha's memory comes back. Rudra and Preesha reunite on Dusshera and decide to expose Armaan together.


Rudra and Preesha finally expose Armaan's true colours and send him to jail. Rudra and Preesha decide to remarry and celebrate Karavachauth together. Pihu falls in love with Vidyut, Raj causes trouble between them. Armaan plans to blackmail Preesha using her and Rudraksh's missing son's location. On the wedding day, he plans a bomb blast and everyone thinks Rudraksh is dead. Preesha accuses Vidyut for Rudraksh's death and sends him to jail which shocks Pihu and then Vidyut supposedly dies after being run over by a train which causes Pihu to want to take revenge from Preesha.


3 Months Later


Preesha still lives at Khurana house but her daughter, Ruhi and Sharda hate her for moving Armaan into Khurana house.

801–900 "End of Preesha-Rudra's story; Introduction to the lives of Samrat and Nayantara; Marriage of Samrat-Nayantara"

Rudra is revealed to be alive. He's shocked to see his family broken and walks into Khurana house declaring Pihu to be his fiancé as she is pregnant with Vidyut's child and find out why Preesha is taking care of Armaan. Preesha is being blackmailed by Armaan in order of exchange of information for Rudra and Preesha's missing son. Ruhi and Saaransh want to unite their parents. Rudra becomes enraged at Preesha and keeps cornering her. He seduces her saying that she can never be satisfied with Armaan and knows she's hiding something. Pihu remains vengeful towards Preesha decides to sepsrate them. And she separates her from Rudra by making her to believe that she is pregnant with Rudra's child as Preesha unaware of the truth that Pihu had lied to her as she pregnant with only Vidyut's child. Rudra and Preesha pretend to be a happy family on Ruhi's sports day and win all the competitions. Ruhi finds out Armaan is faking his act. Rudra and his children expose Armaan. Preesha confesses she got blackmailed by Armaan for as she wanted to find Rudra and Preesha's missing son and she reveals how Armaan helped Revati by kidnapping their child. Rudra promises they will find their son together and they reunite. Armaan tells them that he's taken over their entire wealth and throws them out of Khurana house. Rudra learns that Pihu had lied Preesha for being pregnant with his child and Pihu confesses the truth to both Rudra and Preesha. Rudra and Preesha struggle to find jobs and feed their children. Rudra and his family learns that, Vidyut is still alive and they learns that Armaan had made Vidyut by bringing him inside the warehouse instead of meeting Pihu and drugs him and tortures him after four months, Pihu who comes about Vidyut's truth decides to expose Armaan with the help of Rudra and Preesha. Rudra and Preesha confront Armaan but he baits Rudra to loose his temper. Rudra gets drunk and Preesha finds evidence against Armaan on the night he gets murdered. Preesha is accused for killing Armaan and gets arrested. Rudra and Preesha investigate and find out Revati murdered Armaan. Rudra and Preesha find a baby and think it's their missing son, they get disappointed as their search mission keeps failing. Rudra promises to fix everything and gets all his wealth back. Rudra and Preesha spend quality time with each other as he plans a night out for them. Preesha's mangalsutra breaks and she worries for them. Rudra then says that even if they both die, their love will remain eternal as they will find each other's soul in every life time. Rudra and Preesha spend time with their children and Revati plans an attack against them. A bomb blast supposedly kills off the entire family, including Saransh, Ruhi and Sharada. Rudra and Preesha die holding each other and Rudra says they'll find each other in the next life as their story as soulmates will continue.


20 years later

Nayantara's mother, Malati Iyer, is planning Nayantara's wedding day but the wedding is cancelled. Nayantara is rejected by society for her appearance and way of talking back. The Iyers are financially struggling. Malati believes there's a soulmate out there for Nayantara who will love Nayantara as she deserves. Meanwhile in London, Preesha and Rudraksh's son, Samrat is revealed to be a famous rockstar. Samrat hates his face since he looks exactly like his father. Revati poisons his mind to believe that Rudraksh and Preesha are bad and they killed her family but she still adopted Samrat and made him a rockstar. Samrat is a playboy and doesn't respect women. Samrat comes to India with Aliya and Mohit. Mohit is revealed to be the son of Subodh the suicide bomber of the bomb which killed Preesha and Rudra.


Samrat and Nayantara have a funny conversation in the washroom where Samrat asks Nayantara to stop crying but they don't see each other. Later Nayantara takes up a temporary job as a masseuse at the hotel Samrat's staying at and he's her first client. Samrat looks at Nayantara's feet and starts flirting with her, asking her to get on top of him. Nayantara is offended and gives him a hard massage, later he shows off to her naked in the shower and she chastises him for flirting. Nayantara sees his handkerchief and figures out he's the same man from the toilet and turns to tell him off, they see each other's faces properly for the first time and seem to have a soulmate connection. Samrat and Nayantara's family attend a wedding together where both keep bickering. Nayantara accidentally ends up in Samrat's room where he's waiting for a girl without clothes and he misbehaves with Nayantara asking her to sleep with him and she slaps him, questioning his upbringing. Samrat gets drunk and drives to Khurana house and falls into the trash can where Nayantara rescues him. They have a heart-to-heart conversation about their loneliness and an inebriated Samrat calls Nayantara beautiful explaining the meaning of her name. Later, at the cocktail party, Samrat thanks Nayantara for saving him. Samrat and Nayantara develop a friendship. Samrat helps a drunk Nayantara and tells her if he had his way she would be his 'Monday to Friday' girl too and tells her that he finds her attractive. After the wedding both sadly realise they need to part ways, Samrat buys a pair of glasses for Nayantara. Mohit and Aliya break up due to Ishaani. Aliya tells Samrat that Nayantara stole Mohit from her and Samrat misunderstands Nayantara. Samrat burns Nayantara's house and spies on Mohit. In a twist of events, Samrat takes the place of Nayantara's groom and marries her. Nayantara lies to protect Ishaani and they pretend to be a happy couple in love in front of the family. Samrat moves into Khurana house with Nayantara and her family. Revati returns to India and insults them. Samrat gifts Nayantara a mini-dress on their wedding night and forces her to wear it. He intimidates her, asking her to fulfill all his dark fantasies, he handcuffs her and pins her to the wall shooting knives at her. Finally, he strips her but turns his face away. Nayantara takes revenge by cutting his hair off and threatening to expose him on social media. Nayantara plans to run away with her family. Samrat spies on her and takes her along with him to work. He harasses her by making her work for him and give him massages and later on beats up his colleague for being inappropriate with her. Samrat tells Nayantara she's his wife and his possession, no one else can touch her. Samrat stops Nayantara from escaping and locks her up with him at night, watching her sleep. Nayantara manages to get Ishaani and Mohit married and Samrat discovers the truth. Nayantara leaves Khurana house with her family and blames Samrat for hurting Ishaani. Nayantara has Samrat arrested and he seeks revenge from her. Revati plans to create misunderstandings between Samrat and Nayantara. Aliya feigns paralysis and Samrat blackmails Mohit to marry Aliya. At the wedding, Nayantara does a bride swap, replacing Aliya with Ishaani and later herself. Samrat finds out and orchestrates a groom swap, so Samrat and Nayan remarry.

901–1000 "Samrat and Nayantara live together, Samrat falls in love with Nayantara"

Samrat tells Nayantara now she has to live with him as his legal wife and announces their marriage front of the media and how much he loves her. Nayantara plans to leave as soon as Ishaani and Mohit get married again. Manasi, Samrat's ex enters trying to frame Samrat with a child, Prem, that she claims is Samrat's. Nayantara takes a liking to Prem and tells Samrat that she will divorce him if he gives Prem's custody to her. Manasi and her fiancé, Raghav, who is Samrat's rival, invite him to their wedding. Samrat plans a makeover for Nayantara and both attend the party together. Nayantara grabs attention and wins everyone's heart, Samrat and Nayantara come close at the wedding and understand each other better. Samrat cries in Nayantara's arms whole night for being abandoned as she puts him to sleep and promises to help him get rid of his darkness. Samrat and Nayantara are asked to live together for six months by the court. Samrat tries to make it hard for them but Nayantara moves into Samrat's room. Samrat finds out about Revati attempting to murder Mohit, Ishaani and Malati and confronts her. Revati gets arrested but runs away, she asks Aliya to take revenge from Samrat and Nayantara. Samrat moves Nayantara's family to Khurana house. The children lock Samrat and Nayan in a car and Samrat ends up giving CPR to Nayan and saves her life. Samrat hurts himself and Nayan helps him recover and takes care of him. Malati plans a Shanti Pooja in the house and Samrat takes a stand for Nayantara and proudly declares her as his wife. Samrat is forced to sing at Manasi and Raghav's wedding where a scandal happens and Raghav is found sleeping with Ishaani. Nayantara slaps Raghav. Samrat is furious to find out Raghav planned to trap Nayantara instead and Nayantara calms him down questioning why he cares. Manasi and Aliya join hands to separate Samrat and Nayantara. Manasi fakes an accident and shows up at Khurana house for shelter, Nayantara convinces Samrat to help her out. Manasi upsets Nayantara by telling her that on her Sangeet, she kissed Samrat. Nayantara gets furious at Samrat and tears his shirt, she later burns his breakfast. Samrat gets upset and Nayantara ignoring him and confronts her, he clarifies that Manasi is lying and that he's surprised that Nayantara is jealous, he laughs at Nayantara denying her jealousy. Samrat finally gets Raghav arrested and Nayantara tells Samrat that she will always help him which makes him happy. Samrat plans a birthday surprise for Nayantara that Manasi tried to spoil by making him late. Samrat pacifies a furious Nayantara and carries her to their terrace where he plans a romantic date for them. Samrat and Nayantara have a great time and Nayantara is high to touched by all of Samrat's surprises. Nayantara starts doubting Manasi but gets upset when Samrat does not believe her. Samrat fakes to not believe Manasi because he's already figured out Manasi has a plan and wants to expose her to get rid of Manasi for good. Nayantara falls into the water tank and Samrat rescues her. Nayantara tells Samrat it was Manasi that pushed her but Samrat pretends to not believe her which upsets Nayan. At Holi, Nayantara is angry at Samrat but he dances with her and makes sure they apply colour on each other first. Samrat finds out Aliya has been helping Manasi and plans a fake tax raid to expose Manasi. Samrat hugs Nayantara and thanks her for bringing calmness and stability in his life. Manasi fakes a miscarriage and blackmails Samrat that she will get Nayantara arrested so Samrat has to break Nayantara's heart and say that he still loves Manasi and brings her back to their home. Nayantara finds out Manasi was never pregnant so Manasi gets Nayantara kidnapped. Samrat risks his life and ends up saving Nayantara from a bomb. Manasi starts blackmailing Nayantara using a video of Aliya in a compromising position so Nayantara has to leave Samrat's room. Samrat passionately corners Nayantara and asks her why she's become cold to him when he could feel how much they deeply care for each other. Samrat drinks whole night and the family figures out he's fallen in love with Nayantara. They all make a plan to get rid of Manasi. Samrat and Nayantara tell each other how Manasi has been blackmailing them both and they finally get Manasi arrested.


Samrat realises he has feelings for Nayantara when he asks her to move back in his room with him and the family helps him in confessing his feelings to Nayantara. Samrat ends up getting cold feet last minute and starts writing anonymous poetry for her. Samrat uses poetry by a man named Aktar which Nayantara loves reading. They all later find out that Aktar is Malati's husband; Nayantara and Ishaani's father Govind who was supposedly dead. It is revealed that ten years earlier, Govind had an affair with a woman named Aarati and that Govind faked his own death. Aarati and Govind raise their daughter and the daughter is revealed to be Manasi. The family accepts Govind back in their life. Samrat fills vermillion on Nayantara's head and hopes she will be his partner in every life time. Nayantara moves back into Samrat's room which makes him very happy but she tells him she considers their relationship to be just friendship and wants Mohit and Ishaani to back off from teasing them. Samrat ends up crying when he feels his love is one sided but doesn't give up. He continues sending her secret letters and flowers. Samrat asks Nayantara what she wants in a lover. She tells him she wants someone who is her best friend, the other half of her soul, who understands her better than she understands her own self. Manasi finds out that Govind is Nayantara and Ishaani's father and makes a big scene when she finds out what happened to Ashok, whom Aarati kills in an accident. She decides to start blackmailing Samrat and fakes her death. Samrat finds out Manasi is alive and gets blackmailed by her again to save Govind and Nayantara he makes a plan. He takes Nayantara out on a date and confessed his love to her. He then pushes her off a cliff, as she falls Nayantara misunderstands that Manasi and Samrat planned her death together. It is revealed that Samrat had seen Manasi trying to shoot Nayantara so he tried to save her life but finds out Manasi double crossed Samrat and found out about his plan too. Samrat chases the fishermen he hired to save Nayantara and finds out Nayantara is missing which devastates him. Nayantara is rescued by Siddharth, Raghav's brother, who wants revenge against Samrat. She later sees Manasi in Samrat's house so she decides to destroy Samrat. Samrat tries to kill himself thinking Nayantara is dead but decides to live for Prem.


1 Month Later


Samrat is performing at a concert and Antara enters as his competition much to his shock. Nayantara has a makeover transforming herself into a much glamorous Rockstar Antara. Samrat hugs Antara and she denies that she is Nayantara. Samrat tries his best to keep confronting her but fails. Antara takes over his popularity and leaks the murder video so Samrat is arrested and his reputation is destroyed.


Samrat throws Manasi out of the Khurana house and promises to chase after Nayantara, he begs to join her tour planning to woo her and she agrees to humiliate him further on her tour. Samrat passes all of Antara's tests. Samrat and Antara perform on the tour together, their chemistry becomes popular and he mentors her despite her resistance. Antara blames Samrat for losing her voice and they have a fight. Later on, they both are drunk and end up confessing their feelings and consummating their relationship. Samrat does not remember sleeping with Nayantara who keeps lying to him despite remembering. It is revealed that Manasi and Siddharth plotted against them and Samrat and Nayantara reunite. Manasi further tries to separate them by demanding Samrat transfer his wealth to her. Samrat refuses saying he already transferred it to Govind and Malati. Manasi is enraged and kills Govind and Malati in a bomb blast. Manasi is successful in separating Nayantara and Samrat by making Nayantara to believe that Samrat is behind on her family's death and leaves Delhi and meets Satish Sabharwal who dies in a road accident and he makes Nayantara raise his daughter Mahima, Nayantara promises him and decides to raise his daughter. She feigns her own death. Nayantara finds out she's pregnant and promises to protect her child. Samrat is abandoned by rest of his family and ends up adopting his friend, Aditya's son, Pradyumna.

20 Years Later


Nayantara is living with Satish's family as Nayantara Sabharwal in Faridabad and is raising her and Samrat's daughter Kaashvi, also adopting Satish's daughter Mahima. Nayantara still misses Samrat and hates him as she thinks that Samrat is responsible for her parents' death. Samrat is devastated as he thinks that Nayantara is dead because of him. He returns to India after twenty years. Nayantara and Samrat keep missing each other. Samrat meets Kaashvi unaware that Kaashvi is his daughter. Kaashvi is in love with Nitya's son Arjun, who is in love with Mahima while Mahima loves Pradyumna but feigns love for Arjun to make Pradyumna confess his love. Samrat and Nayantara finally meet each other when Nayantara goes to confront Samrat for upsetting Mahima. Samrat is surprised to see Nayantara alive and they have a heated argument. He is shattered at her betrayal, thinking she moved on and says he hates her and says he forever rejects her henceforth. Samrat then takes revenge from Nayantara by having her arrested for putting a false allegation on him. Samrat later learns that Kashvi is also Nayantara's daughter with another man and he forcefully brings Nayantara to the library and questions her why she left him and moved on with another man. Kaashvi and Arjun try to save her and in the process Kaashvi is injured and hospitalized. Samrat refuses to give blood to her making Nayantara confess that Kaashvi is his daughter, revealing how Manasi made her to believe that he is behind her parents's death. Samrat on learning this truth donates blood to Kaashvi and wants them back in his life. Samrat attends Mahima and Arjun's wedding and decides to win back Nayantara. Samrat and Nayantara get close in the wedding functions. Mahima plans to elope with Pradyumna. On the wedding day, Samrat confesses his love to Nayantara and wants to marry her again. He convinces her that they won't reveal their past to anyone. Kashvi overhears their conversation and asks Nayantara to marry Samrat. Romila records video of Nayantara and Samrat kissing and the Sabharwal family learns of their affair. Kaashvi convinces everyone to let them marry. Meanwhile Mahima has eloped and Kaashvi has to marry Arjun instead. Mahima returns and interrupts the wedding but Arjun rejects her. Arjun and Kasahvi get married, and so do Samrat and Nayantara. Both couples move into their new homes. Mahima learns that Nayantara is not her mother and she is Kashvi's mother and Samrat's wife and she blackmails Samrat to reveal the truth. Samrat pays ₹10 lakhs to her for not revealing this truth to the family and she leaves to Mumbai for modelling. Samrat discovers that Nitya was involved in taking bribes and released many criminals in exchange for bribes. He also learns that she had killed her partner-in-crime, Shehnaaz, who was also a government officer. Shehnaaz wanted to rectify for her mistakes and so, she had decided to go to the police station to confess the crimes she and Nitya had committed but Nitya killed Shehnaaz before she could be exposed. After learning the truth, Samrat confronts Nitya and threatens to expose her. Nitya is angered and decides to kill Samrat. Samrat and Nayantara are killed in a bomb blast planted by Nitya which shocks Kaashvi and she decides to find their murderer as she is unaware that Nitya is the murderer. Mahima learns about Samrat and Nayantara's demise and tries to return to Delhi. But her grandmother warns her to not to return to the Sabharwal house. Kaashvi and Arjun finds a man named Birju who had planted the bomb and interrogate him about it. But Nitya kills him in the process and runs away but Nitya's saree's piece is torned and Kaashvi finds it. But Kashvi mistakenly believes that Aruna is her parents's murderer after she finds the same saree in Aruna's cupboard. Unaware of the truth that Nitya wanted to blame Aruna so that she can avoid imprisonment. Kaashvi accuses Aruna of her parents's murder in front of the Bajwa family while her sons, Suraj and Pankaj, try to molest her but Arjun saves her and has them arrested, shocking Aruna. While, Mahima gets job as a hotel receptionist where she is surprised to meet Pradyumna, who still hates Mahima. To get close to Pradyumna, Mahima traps Pradyumna in a massage room and acts to save Pradyumna. Pradyumna apologizes to Mahima for the past reasons and he tells her to marry him, to which Mahima agrees. Kaashvi gathers evidence against Aruna and has Aruna imprisoned alongside her sons. Suraj and Pankaj decide to retaliate against her. Kaashvi and Arjun go to Haridwar and meet her childhood friend named Kabir, whom Arjun envies. To her surprise, she meets a man who is revealed to be Digvijay Bajwa who is Jagdish's father and Arjun's grandfather who had supposedly died. It is revealed that ten years ago, Digvijay had suffered a road accident which leads the Bajwa family to believe that he had died. Nitya had tried to kill him but Kaashvi and Arjun know that he is alive and is in an orphanage. Kaashvi learns that Samrat also came there to find the truth behind the connection. Mahima returns to Faridabad again along with Pradyumna for her and Pradyumna's marriage and she decides to use Romila to get their money.
